MuzicNotez: What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?

Young Nicky: I been writing music since 10 years old & my uncle Jeffrey Brooks was the inspiration behind my music. I use to watch him play the piano downstairs at my grandma’s house & ever since then I loved music & knew this is something I want it to do!

MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?

Young Nicky: I looked up to people like Nipsey, Master P, Young Dolph, Etc. Basically, people who got creative control of everything they do with their talents because at the end of the day it’s ownership that I’m going after.

MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?

Young Nicky: The message I’m trying to send out is that no matter what you go thru in life just keep trusting the process & stay in your lane. There is power knowing who you are.

MuzicNotez: What’s the latest release of yours? Tell us about it.

Young Nicky: I just released a mic performance of my single “Set It Off” out now on my YouTube Channel & also released a visualizer to my song “The Calm Before The Storm” on my YouTube Channel as well! Both songs are on my Ep Versatile which is out now on all platforms.
