Country Artist Matt Koziol New Album 'Last of the Old Dogs' is an Instant Classic Headlinez

Earlier this month, on April 5th (2024), country artist Matt Koziol new album ‘Last of the Old Dogs’ was dropped. In our humble opinion, and most anybody that hears it, it’s an instant classic! I’ve personally been a huge fan of Koziol ever since hearing ‘Work All Day’. Since then, he’s been releasing hit after hit. We’re always talking about success stories from independent artists, and you don’t have to look any further than Matt Koziol for one of the biggest success stories. He has found all of this success without a major label. He’s signed with RED Creative Records, a successful indie label out of Nashville.

Country Artist Matt Koziol New Album ‘Last of the Old Dogs’

The new album ‘Last of the Old Dogs’ features 13 new songs by Matt Koziol. The whole album is a masterclass on songwriting and story telling. Iconic must have’s for any country artist. Now this is some high praise… but it’s hard not to think of Chris Stapleton when listening to Matt Koziol’s music. The songwriting prowess that each possess is something to be admired.

This album is a journey, it’s put together masterfully. Koziol kick’s it up a notch in songs like ‘Which Way to Heaven’, ‘Follow Me Home’ and ‘You Better Run, Son’. Bringing iconic electric guitar riff’s that get your toes tappin’. Then you have the emotionally driven, beautiful ballads that really show off his versatility throughout. Every element of an instant classic country album, is in ‘Last of the Old Dogs’. Matt Koziol created a good, down home slice of Americana. At just 36 years old, Matt is just getting started, but well on his way already. We have no doubt he’s a star in the making and should be a household name.

New single ‘Here Again’ by Matt Koziol

It doesn’t stop there though, just last week (April 12th, 2024) Matt Koziol dropped another new single ‘Here Again’. As we’ve come to expect, it’s brilliant! The sound is full of depth with the backing vocals in the chorus, really punching it home. Then the picking in the verses is soft and seamless. Just a beautiful mixture throughout and an awe inspiring song structure by Matt Koziol.
