MuzicNotez: First off, itb s an honor to be doing this interview with you, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us.

What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?

• Heistheartist: I actually started by singing cover songs on Instagram for fun. A local producer happened to come across my page and he invited me to his studio to record my first single (and that is where my passion began). I was 26 years old.

MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?

• Heistheartist: Definitely artists like John Mayer, Prince, Michael Jackson, and Chaka Khan are all influences. I do many different genres, and I gravitate towards listening to genre bending artists.

MuzicNotez: What is the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?

• Heistheartist: I’m a Christian artist, so getting the word of God out to as many people as possible is my primary goal.

MuzicNotez: What’s the latest release of yours? Tell us about it.

• Heistheartist: It’s a song called ‘Boom (Doo Wop Version)’. It’s a secular version of my religious song titled ‘Boom (Remastered)’.

  The message of ‘Boom (Doo Wop Version)’ is manifesting finding true love (even if you haven’t already found it).
