Tizzy TEACH Artist Interviews

MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us.

What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?

  • Tizzy TEACH: I would say. Always being around music because my dad is an artist and producer and feeling like i wanted to give it a shot.

I wanted to create music that I wanted to hear. I have never really been a trend follower more so just doing my own thing, and I think with music I have been the same way. Just creating good music that you can vibe to.

MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?

  • Tizzy TEACH: I would say some of my influences would be my dad of course,

But I would say I’ve been really influenced my alternative rock music too like Nirvana, smashing pumpkins, incubus, Chevelle, even Bob Marley, but when it comes to Hip hop music it’s more of the vibes. I just like music you can chill out smoke to and feel good.

MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?

  • Tizzy TEACH: Oh heck ya man. I would say that real art still exists.
That there’s artists and creatives that still have love for the art. Not just what comes with it.

The legacy I’m going to leave is you can make good music and not have to fit the mold of everyone else.

My message is uplifting and positive and I just want artists and those that enjoy music to see that, as well as embracing individualism

Which is accepting and loving who you are as a person and just being you. People are gonna hate no matter how cool you think you are. So be you and the right people will stick around and the bad apples seem to always find a way to fall off the tree themselves.

MuzicNotez: What’s the greatest concert you’ve ever been to or performed?

  • Tizzy TEACH: I’m a big reggae fan so any reggae festival where I can just be. I can just be present is always my jam.
But when it comes to Hip hop I saw Wu tang clan perform an that was fire.

But realistically if you have a good performance I’ll sit and enjoy it. I love live music and that setting.

MuzicNotez: Your latest release is the single ‘Have a Good DAY’, it’s nice to see music with a positive message come out. What motivated this track?

  • Tizzy TEACH: I would say the fact that the world needs something like this right now.
We live in a world where every day we wake up grab our phones and look at what else kinda crazy Sh– We’ve got going on on this planet.

Have a good DAY is more than just saying “Have a Good Day”
Its encouraging that no matter what walk of life you come from. That I hope you have a good day.

We all are in this thing called life together, and all into different things. So with whatever those things I are. I’m just a person that hopes you find success in whatever it is your diving into.

MuzicNotez: You say you’re bringing back a wave of art to the music industry, which we can see and appreciate. What does this mean to you exactly?

  • Tizzy TEACH: This to me means that I create because I love it. There’s a lot of blueprint.

Style artists out there that create because a certain way is popular. A lot of people create and re create what’s popular which I’m not knocking. Especially if your getting results. But for someone like myself I do have a certain level of pride in myself and in my own artistry that keeps me in my own lane. Don’t get me wrong I’m aware everything isn’t for everybody so I create for the thinkers, the outcast, for the intelligent ones that can sit an appreciate music hasn’t all the way gone a certain direction.

My music is for those that never fit in. I’m just embracing my soul and who I am. I encourage others to let out their weirdo side and be you.

MuzicNotez: You also have a label called Dysfunctional Family, what makes your label unique? Do you represent other artists too?

  • Tizzy TEACH: What makes Dysfunctional Family unique would be the fact that anyone dealing with DF has creative freedom to be whoever they are.

Dysfunctional Family is a independent label that serves as a benchmark for creatives to feel no pressure and to learn who they are as an artist to get into that and no judgment.

People feel they gotta create a certain type of way because the people they stay around. But being you and being unique and a individual is one of the strongest things you can do.

Right now I’ve just been working on having DF be a known entity from the Town and yes I work with a LOT of artists in the sense of collaboration
And I do have some artists I’m closely working with. And when the time is right DF is going to be pushing out more artists. We’ve got some cool things in the works. You’ll have to be in tune to see.

MuzicNotez: What else are you working on? What can we expect to see and hear from you in the future?

  • Tizzy TEACH: More new music! I would say videos, a lot more collaboration stuff and just keeping the supporters and listeners engaged.

More shows, more networking I’m around when it comes to my state. But I’m also trying to get more out of state work. So getting myself set up for that.

MuzicNotez: Anything else you wish to say about yourself or your music? Any message for your fans?

  • Tizzy TEACH: Ya. Love yourself
Love the people you keep around you
And be willing to open your mind, learn something new and grow.
Do something to change the rythem of your life if you don’t like it.

It’s not gonna just happen for you. You personally have to make the move. Pr attempts. In doing so you can’t be scared to fail. It’s only teaching you what not to do or how to go about something better. I can even take advice like this.

    Stay safe yall
