Interview with Curtis Dayne on his Single ‘D.A.D. (Day After Day) & more

MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us.

What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?

  • Curtis Dayne: I was a teenager 18 or 19, but i didn’t get serious until about 24, I always loved writing love songs, the girls loved it. Got lots of attention from it. I didn’t set out for the attention it just happened by default, met Corey Hart and loved his style because it was similar to what I would do sunglasses and all.

MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?

  • Curtis Dayne: I really liked soul music, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and the list goes on. I also liked a lot of electropop and light rock stuff. That’s why I have a wide variety of different styles. Thank unknown source music for letting me fly free and do my thing with Daforce Dawg

People always said I remind them of Corey Hart and Sound like Capital Cities they think that’s me sometimes lol.

MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?

  • Curtis Dayne: I want my music to touch the world in a nice way music is really beautiful it does a lot of things for us. My message is love God and soak in the music and of course more global recognition. Even though our music is actively playing in 5 continents I would still love to touch many more lives.

MuzicNotez: What’s the greatest concert you’ve ever been to or performed?

  • Curtis Dayne: I was able to see the fugees because of my connection with their drummer. Yes they were very good Amazing. Also got to see Madonna perform what a show really amazing, got to see Usher and the Weeknd.

MuzicNotez: It looks like your latest track is D.A.D. (Day After Day), what inspired this track? What does it mean to you?

  • Curtis Dayne: I was going through a lot at the time I lost my dad 1st in a tragic situation which was really hard for me then 4 years later I lost my mom who was my biggest supporter. I miss her a lot so, our team started working on it. Shout out to Archie team mate and Daforce’s uncle thanks for the frame work.

MuzicNotez: You have been a part of multiple groups and projects, tell us about them and how they’ve shaped you as a musician.

  • Curtis Dayne: Well I was part of the no foolz project involving Jephte Guillaume and Josell Ramos which spawned a documentary calledThe Maestro 2003. Then I connected with daforce and the rest is history currently we are working on Foundation 6 which is a crazy

project, we are also working with our buddies Arapacis a well known kick butt rock group. We are trying to recreate the Run Dmc and Aerosmith vibe for 2026.

MuzicNotez: You’re signed on with the music label ‘Unknown Source Music’, how did you form up with them and what has the experience been like so far?

  • Curtis Dayne: I was able to connect through mutual friends in the industry. The experience was great I learned how to develop my craft through this life changing experience. I hope Daforce doesn’t get mad but I must say it. He’s very intelligent and his business IQ is high but yes it is great being a part of that team I love it so much that I became a part owner in the label.

MuzicNotez: What else are you working on? What can we expect to see and hear from you in the future?

  • Curtis Dayne: Working on some more music and a couple of videos, we are also setting up a series of shows for 2026. Unknown Source Music will be releasing a short film on our Journey as a team (Daforce, Curtis Dayne, Lord Jayze, Crysto Klear, Geneva Simz and the whole team). It is called Experience the humble beginning. Foundation 6 in comparison would be like Star treks uss enterprise which was perfectly depicted by Daforce in his video Galaxy Ryder (travesty 2026) in memory of the late great Leslie Neilson.

MuzicNotez: Anything else you wish to say about yourself or your music? Any message for your fans?

  • Curtis Dayne: I would like to thank everyone that has supported our efforts and continue to support us. We hope our journey helps out and benefits you in some way. Can you go follow us on our social sites please. Right on & peace.
