Boo Hewerdine is an award nominated English singer-songwriter, musician and producer out of Glasgow. Since the 80’s, he’s been part of bands and written hits with various artists. Yvonne Lyon is a Scottish singer-songwriter as well, she creates emotive folk music, filled with heartfelt lyrics and emotional themes of love. With her background in psychology, Yvonne’s music carries a lot deep meaning evoked by the human experience. Her beautiful soulful voice brings these complex emotions to life.
It’s no wonder that this new collaboration with Yvonne Lyon and Boo Hewerdine is a natural partnership. The combination of these two artists to create the new album ‘Things Found In Books’ could become an award winning masterpiece.
The inspiration of this new collaborative album ‘Things Found In Books’, are the artifacts. Such as, pictures, notes and letters found in the old books they’ve discovered. These discovered items were displayed on a bulleten board in the Culzean Castle book shop. This historical context of so many different lives, has been put together in to one work of art. Yvonne and Boo have intertwined these stories with their own to create something new and beautiful for us to enjoy.
The ‘Things Found In Books’ album release, includes a physical hardback CD case. That fittingly has a beautiful, thoughtfully crafted, 44 page book along with it. This book includes the lyrics, pictures and more to expand on the story they’ve created with this album.
