MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us.

What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?

• Gwendolen Hayes aka Pepsi-Blu: It stems from a deep passion-a desire for self expression or influence of music and experiences. It began at the very young age for me at 17 years old for Gwendolen Hayes aka Pepsi-Blu experimenting with musical instruments. For example-Digital Audio Workstation (Daw) this is the central software used for recording, editing, and mixing music. Because becoming a music, artist, music engineer, a music producer is a fulfilling and rewarding journey and opportunity. Pepsi-Blu aspired to become a music artist, and create my own music because,I have a deep passion and love for music. It allowed me to pursue my artistic interest and immerse myself in a world that brings me joy. Connecting with others, music has the ability to bring people together that evoke emotions. I can connect with my audience and touch their lives, inspire and uplift them through my soulful sound. I want to leave a legacy through my music and make  a positive influence on others. Becoming a professional music artist is a way to make your mark on the world and share your gifts and talents. Remember, the journey of becoming a music, artist, requires dedication, hard work and perseverance. It’s important to nurture and master your skills and employ your creativity, and seek opportunities. That is the Blueprint!

MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?

• Pepsi-Blu: DJ Grandmaster Flash from the Boogie Down Bronx, New York 1970s he was my musical influence my idol growing up that helped mold Pepsi blu music career today. Flash played a pivotal role in the development of hip-hop and the art of DJ’ing. His creativity laid the foundation for me helping me generalize growth development and popularity for my music. His influence & has music resonated with many aspiring music artist like myself. Flash influenced and inspired Pepsi, blu with his innovative techniques, back, spinning, cutting mixing, and scratching, which revolutionized the art of music for many which includes me. He knew exactly how to manipulate sound on the turntable which inspired me,I found his unique style the energy he brought to his performance Incredible phenomenal and Amazing. I learned to transform my sound into musical composition. Flash did that all the time,I did the same thing Pepsi-Blu was influenced by the best trailblazer in the game-music industry Grand Master Flash. I learned how to master and shape my music into my creativity just like flash.

MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?

• Pepsi-Blu: The ultimate goal I have as a music artists in the music industry is to establish a successful and sustainable music career in which I have. Pepsi-Blu has achieved recognition and respect within the industry, building a dedicated fan base, and consistently releasing high-quality music. Pepsi-Blu  often strive to attain commercial success, such as chart-topping hits, album sales these milestones can be indicators that my impact and popularity has flourished. Additionally, collaborations with other influential artists, winning prestigious awards, and having a long-lasting impact on the industry are also significant goals for myself as a professional music artist. Ultimately, the specific goal as a music artist is to make sure I always continue to establish myself and my music career as a prominent and respected figure in the music industry.

MuzicNotez: What’s the greatest concert you’ve ever been to or performed?

• Pepsi-Blu: The greatest performance I ever did was at home. Because it offered a intimate and cozy atmosphere with my fans and they were able to connect with my music on a deeper level. Performing a home allowed me to relax without any distractions or limitations. It provided me the opportunity to create the perfect ambiance, sound system, and lighting performance. In the near future I will be having another performance at home, so people be sure to look out for that. The Tickets will go up for sale on my professional dashboard. MuzicNotez: Your latest release is the track ‘This Is Life’, what inspired this track? What does this release mean to you?

• Pepsi-Blu: The track inspired me to embrace the reality of my circumstances, finding value in both the ordinary and the extra ordinary aspects of life. This is life represents resilience, meaning, and acknowledging that challenging and setbacks are a natural part of human experiences. It inspired me to face adversity with courage and determination, knowing that life and encompasses both triumphs and obstacles. It represents and inspire gratitude,opportunities and experiences that life presents. It inspired me to find joy in the simple pleasures, and to be thankful for the blessings along the way regarding my musical career.

MuzicNotez: Where did you come up with the name Pepsi-Blu?

• Pepsi-Blu: I adopted the name, Pepsi-Blu, It was a personal preference and choice of mines. I am a big fan of the color blue, and the Pepsi blue brand. The color blue is appealing and it represents my favorite color. It gives a vibrancy, energy and uniqueness, so that is how I came up with the stage name, Pepsi-Blu. It is away to showcase my individuality and catch attention. The name Pepsi-Blu will definitely spark  attention and conversation. I was inspired by the color and the brand of Pepsi Blue Products.

MuzicNotez: Saw you also work with young aspiring artists to help them succeed, what have you learned from those experiences so far? What’s your best piece of advice for young artists?

• Pepsi-Blu: Working with young, inspiring artist can be rewarding and a valuable learning experience for established music artist in several ways. I have a fresh perspectives which exposes new ideas, innovative approaches and different music styles. I learned from the younger generations unique perspectives because they are typically more tech savvy, but so is Pepsi Blu. My experience working with young artists mentoring them,I have accumulated fresh knowledge and experiences to guide them helping to shape and groom the next generation. Working with young artist  through my shared experiences, I have learned the dynamics of a changing music industry. It’s constantly evolving and young artist often have a better grasp of the latest trends, platforms and marketing strategies. Working with them will help them adapt the changing industry. My advice to a young music artist is to be authentic. Stay true to yourself, and your artistic vision always embrace your unique style-voice  and creative expression. Authenticity set you apart and resonates with listeners. Always Master your craft, and dedicate your time and effort honing your skills. This is real talk! sincerely,Pepsi-Blu.

MuzicNotez: What else are you working on? What can we expect to see and hear from you in the future?

• Pepsi-Blu: At this present moment, I am working on a collaboration between artists from different genres and backgrounds. Pepsi-Blu continues to gain popularity worldwide, working with other musicians and music artist, producers, and visual artist. Pepsi-Blu is headlining some new exciting opportunities on virtual concerts and live stream performances, so people look out for that.

• Pepsi-Blu: Yes, Pepsi-Blu strive to make a positive impact on the world around me. I believe in my ability to overcome challenges and achieve my goals. Pepsi-Blu is committed to personal growth and continuously learning. I am resilient and have the strength to face any obstacle that come my way. Pepsi-Blu value, honesty integrity, and always strive to do the right thing. I believe in my potential and constantly push myself to reach new heights. Furthermore, my music is incredible because it reflects my unique creativity, talent, and personal Expression. My music has the power to evoke emotions, inspire others, and leave a lasting impact resonating with others. My music is a testament of my artistic vision and profound impact it has on listeners.
