  • MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us.
     
    Introduce yourselves and your rolls in the band. How did you get together?

    • Tiananmen: Well first of all I am Juan Carlos Rojas I play the keyboard and vocals, Luis Fernando Rojas the guitar (Chato), Sergio Solares (Tula) the bass. We got together in the year 1992 and started with wanting to play original music and immediately started working until now.
  • MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musicians you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?
    • Tiananmen: Good question. Our influences are Moody Blues, The Cure, Depeche Mode, New Order , Joy Division, The Smiths, U2, Indochine, Talk talk.
  • MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a band? Any particular message you wish to send?
    • Tiananmen: Our main goal is to expand on a worldwide level, with our last album “emisor” our message is to listen to our music it is sincere, honest and it comes out from our souls to your ears so you can enjoy it as we do, so we can all be “ONE”
  • MuzicNotez: You have played together sense 1992, how has your sound changed and evolved over the years of playing together?
    • Tiananmen: We became more electronic than before, we make our own rhythms and sounds without changing our essence now we use acoustic bass and guitars.
