MuzicNotez: What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?
- Son of Sam: No problem thank you for giving me the opportunity..
Music was one of the things I’ve always wanted to do as a kid, I was around 14 or 15 when I did my first talent show…battling other artists during breaks at school or others from different schools led to an amazing opportunity for me to do a performance for a furniture store who was having a grand opening then my first radio on air interview by then I was hooked.
MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?
- Son of Sam: I love all type of music from Michael Jackson to Kenny Rogers from BB KING to Duran Duran but my rap influences were BDP (boogie down production), Kool G Rap, Scarface, Ice T, Run-DMC, eventually 2pac, NWA, ETC… I love the art of story telling…., painting a picture with words if you will.
MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?
- Son of Sam: Music is worldwide and have been here since the beginning of time used in many different ways from celebrating to relaxing, from partying to mourning, expressing yourself, if my music can help someone’s situation or elevate someone’s mind by helping them then I’ve done my job..
Also be on the look out for my next few projects my solo album and a album with PURA VIKS3N a very talented artist who on the uprise with a unique style like no other…I’m also working with “ubiyaach” he’s out of Africa another talented artist whose on the uprise..
