Interview with D Brax on New Single ‘Lawler Falls’
MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us.
What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?
D Brax: So I was the age of 10 when I started Playing and I put my first single out and when I was 20 years old and I Always loved smooth jazz and listening to Brian Culbertson and Paul Hardcastle and many more.
Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?

D Brax: Man!! Brian Culbertson, Paul Hardcastle, Sylvester Burks, Terrell Powell, Jasonryanmusic, Carl Wheeler and many more but mostly under the Bay Area musicians that helped me get to where I’m at today musically.
What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?
D Brax: I want’s to tour the world and be a roll model to our young and up and coming musicians and be encouragement to others.
What’s the greatest concert you’ve ever been to or performed?
D Brax: : I’ve been to the Napa jazz festival concert and I played at a few Juneteenth festivals as well.
Your latest release is the single ‘Lawler Falls’, what inspired this track? What does it mean to you?
D Brax: : So this song is my son’s latest single that I produced for him and what it means to him and me is being from a stresstful enviroment and taking time with yourself and loving on yourself
And being encouragement to yourself
You have a unique sound, how would you describe it?
D Brax: : Is like a taste of a little bit of Paul Hardcastle sound and a bit of enigma song and Christian music.
You’re not just a pianist and keyboardist, but you’re a songwriter. What is your songwriting process like?
D Brax: : Is a overnight thing and a week by week thing until I get it out of my head and put it in the digital platform stores.
What else are you working on? What can we expect to see and hear from you in the future?
D Brax: : I will be putting out some more songs out in the near future and I will be playing doing the summer at the Juneteenth festival.
Anything else you wish to say about yourself or your music? Any message for your fans?
D Brax: : Nope that’s about it.
