MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you Ed, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us.
What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?
Dizzy Villain: The idea of creating something and having it drifting all around the world being interacted with by complete strangers is what motivated me to make music. I started when I was 13.
MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?
Dizzy Villain: I used to say that I didn’t have any musical influences or idols but when I look closer. I would have to say Nas,The Marley Family, Ryhmesayers, Tupac I wouldn’t call them idols but they definitely influenced me. There are a few others
MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?
Dizzy Villain: I just want to make a living off music. The message I have to deliver couldn’t be shortened into an interview question. I want to motivate and educate as best as I can, while still having as much fun as possible.
MuzicNotez: What’s the greatest concert you’ve ever been to or performed?
Dizzy Villain: One of my favorite shows Ive performed at was actually a local Mic Club. Which is a serious of shows with local Albuquerque artists. It got rowdy.
One of my favorite shows I attended was DJ Qbert in Denver.
MuzicNotez: You recently released your debut album ‘Lead The Pack’, how has that been received so far?
Dizzy Villain: It couldn’t have been received better. A perfect foundation.
MuzicNotez: What was the motivation behind this album?
Dizzy Villain: The motivation behind this product was to actually have a finished product for promotional campaigns and to perform. I had made a lot of music but a lot of it was scattered on different laptops in different studios and a lot of it was incomplete.
MuzicNotez: Beyond your music, and with your music, you take time to give back. Tell us a little bit about what you’ve done in that regard.
Dizzy Villain: I have a few different methods to my writing. Lets just say at this point I write and write and I throw away anything that isn’t mind blowing.
MuzicNotez: What else are you working on? What can we expect to see and hear from you in the future?
Dizzy Villain: You will be Hearing new music from me soon. The ideas brewing are to new to speak about. I will say I want every album to be better than the last.
